About FABRIC
History
Our first camp, EuroSPARC, ran in 2016, inspired by and affiliated with SPARC in the US. Renamed ESPR, it ran in the UK in 2017 and 2018; in 2019 operations moved to a new Czech entity. We later scaled to several camps a year and in 2023 unified them under the FABRIC name. PAIR started in 2023 as an experimental spin on ESPR focused on AI and cognition.
Funding
FABRIC is funded by a generous grant from Carina Initiatives, which allows us to keep the programs free for students from all over the world.
Alumni
Almost 400 alumni from all over the world, most of them now at university or younger. They compose music, found startups, research AI, and write sci-fi and new theorems. For a flavour of the camps, see The FABRIC Book.
Team
David František Wagner, Executive Director
